Drako Quad Motor Architecture Explained

GTE's fully electric quad motor architecture provides an entirely new level of performance and control. Four permanent magnet hybrid synchronous motors generate 1,200 hp and 8,800 Nm of combined wheel torque. Each motor is connected to an individual wheel through a direct-drive gearbox enabling extremely precise torque delivery for incredible performance, turning capability and safety in all conditions.

At a recent automotive technology conference in Silicon Valley, Drako Motors Executive Vice President, Shiv Sikand, was invited to speak about the future of driving dynamics enabled by a quad motor architecture. Shiv presented a technical deep dive into Drako's technology as well as the exhilarating experience of driving GTE on the track and the ability to accelerate earlier after the apex than ever before.
